RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Barbieri is responsible for the overall management of the Company’s Survey Department. Duties include from responding to initial client phone calls and the preparation of the survey proposals, to the scheduling of our field crews and field work.
Prepares information, for use in the field by our survey crews. Collects and converts the raw field data into usable formats – the calculations for and CAD to prepare ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Boundary and Topographic Surveys, Subdivision and Land Development plans.
For construction stake out, calculates new construction location and grading point files. Also performs field work, for any of the above projects, on an as needed basis.
Barbieri started his career working for Berger & Hayes, before coming to Yerkes Associates, Inc., in 1984. He accepted the position as a Rear Chainman, moved on to Instrument Man, followed by his role as Crew Chief. In 1992, he moved into the office starting as a Draftsman, then was immediately promoted from Technician, to Drafting – Design Technician, to Project Designer, then Survey Manager.
Well organized and with a keen eye for detail, Barbieri is well respected by contractors, clients and his engineer co-workers.
Barbieri continues his 31 years of service with the Company, currently as our Survey & Mapping Manager, in addition to being one of the best project designers in the company.
